Step 1 FREE TRIAL

Book Initial Consultation 30 minutes                           Bulk Billed to Medicare
The Optometrist will do general eye test providing a spectacle and contact lens prescription.  Your suitability for wearing contact lenses will be assessed. The free trial of contact lenses involves the optometrist inserting the lenses and you walking around the centre for ½ hour or so.

 If we don’t have the correct contact lens prescription for trial, trial lenses are ordered in and you will be contacted when they arrive. A 15 minute appointment will be booked with the optometrist, this appointment is not covered by Medicare and is no charge to you.

Once you have trialled the lenses and returned to the optometrist comfort, fit and vision are accessed.

If happy with comfort, fit and vision go to Step 2
If not happy with comfort, fit and vision go to Step 2a

 


Step 2

Fit & Teach Appointment                                               $100 Contact Lens Fee
If you are happy with the trial and would like to go ahead and order contact lenses an appointment is made to fit teach you how to insert, remove and care for your eyes and the contact lenses.  At this appointment a once off consultation fee of $100 is payable to cover fit / teach / aftercares together with the cost of the contact lenses chosen.

Step 2a

If further trials of contact lenses are needed a once off consultation fee of $25 is payable, this covers your second and other contact lens trials.  If you decide to go ahead at the end of the trials. Step 2’s fee is reduced to $75.

 

Step 3

Aftercare Appointments 15 minutes                           No charge
At this appointment the optometrist will check the fit, your vision and health of your eyes.  You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions and deal with any issues you may have had.
Extended Wear Contact Lens Wearers                        Next Day / 7 Days / 1 Month
Fortnightly & Dailies Contact Lens Wearers               2 Weeks / 6  Months

It is important to maintain the health of your eyes and the fit and vision of your contact lenses so we recommend a check by the Optometrist every 12 months, this appointment is covered by Medicare.
